New beginnings.

Hello! It’s been a while, I know.  I’m easing my way back in gently, steady as she goes and all that jazz.

December wasn’t the best month. Blogging, along with other parts of my life, fell by the wayside. It’s took this time to put myself back together – oh the drama.

I don’t want to go into detail but I can say that I am stronger, happier, counting my blessings and feel very optimistic. When things go wrong in my life I tend to shut down but spring back pretty quick; life is far too short (yes, that old chestnut). Anyhoo, it’s peachy to be back…

So, here’s a few lovely things I’ve been up to; playing lots of Scrabble (I have a habit), eating a remarkable amount of food, drinking too many cocktails (which I’ll happily do all over again), spent quality time with family and friends, watched great TV & Films (new and old) including Great Expectations, Harry Potter (I am now the proud owner of the boxset…don’t judge me), Casablanca, Tyrannosaur, The Squid and the Whale, North by Northwest, It’s a Wonderful Life, Frozen Planet and many more. We listened to the radio (Vinyl Revival on 6music was super over New Year), went on family walks, road trips, shopped with my best mate (whilst putting the world to rights), caught up on my reading (my only resolution this year – read, read, read), the lovely Elizabeth and her fella Raj came to visit and made us a tasty meal and I was spoilt by family & friends over Christmas (Coco Mademoiselle  is back in my life – swoon!). Generally, a lot of taking stock and pondering, like you do. I’ll catch up with some photos this week too for your visual amusement!

I wish each and every one of you a happy 2012 that is full of love, good health and cups of tea. Mine’s milk and one sugar by the way…
