Awards: Part deux

I received another lovely award from a very talented crafty so-and-so, called Carly from Carly Makes Stuff. You guessed it, she makes stuff and she’s darn’ good at it too! Thank you very much Carly!

The Liebster Award is designed to bring the recognition (they deserve) to those bloggers who have less than 300 followers.  That’s always nice isn’t it? I like awards. I like them a lot.

So, I get to choose a few more blogs that I think deserve some attention. I chose to pick three. See my other suggestions here

Nice Day for a sulk  is a newbie on the block . When you start out it’s nice to get some encouragement don’t you think? Loving your posts so far Gaelle, long may they continue!

Daydreams in Lace is by no means a newbie but a beautiful blog firstly inspired by her wedding, now the house. I cannot wait. I’m a bit of a nosey parker like that : )

Make Do and Mend how I love this blog! This blog in inspired by things to make and do around Nottingham. With lots of bits and bobs of loveliness along the way. This is one of those blogs that can keep you occupied for hours.

Spread the love!

Awards!

I was chuffed, stoked, pleased as punch (all apply) to find that I was given a Kreativ Blogger award from the lovely & talented Georgia Coote and also by Kathryn Sharman a few weeks ago. I’ve blogged once before about Georgia’s fantastic work and wear her lovely button necklaces often! See her work here. I don’t know how she manages to create pattern after pattern daily but she does, long may it continue! Kathryn’s blog, Kat Got the Cream, is fab (note to self, update blogroll.) With tales of thrifting, dry hair shampoo and caravans, it’s now one of my favourite reads, how could it not be?

The Kreativ Blogger award simply encourages bloggers and showcase others. Let me say I am very much encouraged! I can’t tell you how much I love writing a blog and to know that a few people are reading makes it very special indeed. So thank you…

All I have to do  is pick 10 blogs that I read and love then entertain you all with 10 facts about me that you might not know!

Chosen ones! If you are happy to receive the award then simply pay it forward. Choose 10 blogs that you love including 10 facts about yourself…

Blah to Hurrah!

It was a Tuesday and my day was starting out a bit blah. You know those days when you have no motivation and everything turns into a haze? I had a list of things to do, and instead of ticking off those things, I kept thinking of things to add onto it. Sometimes I do wish my brain would just ‘pause’ for a second so I could catch up on everything I had to do, then ‘play’ again and start a fresh. It’s working overtime at the mo, and consequently I’m not sleeping well.

I was feeling sorry for myself around 2ish, knowing that I hadn’t done much, so I went to make myself a cup of tea. Then I heard her – our 90-year-old, (practically deaf)  next-door neighbour, singing away to her heart’s content. Every day she sings and every day she puts a smile on my face. She somehow sorts me out, better than a cup of tea or my favourite song. Her voice tends to give me a right royal slap across the face as if to say ‘C’mon now, get cracking, we’re all in this together’. So I did, I put on my make up, did some of the jobs I had to do and got on with it.  No doubt I’ll feel blah again some time soon but until then the warbling sounds of a very old lady will keep me in check!

P.S Later that night I got an email from the wonderful Sian, Founder & Editor of Domestic Sluttery, regarding writing a feature on my blog…here’s a peek. Thank you once again Sian, not to compare you to a 90-year-old lady, but you too put a big smile on my face and sorted me out ♥
