Tote of the week and an apple obsession…

Apple Tote Shopper, £10.39.

So, I made twelve Apple Crumble Muffins, which have safely being demolished by myself, the OH and his work colleagues. Next up, Apple and Walnut Loaf. Oh my, my oh my. Note to self – must walk off all this cake loveliness.

Embrace those crumbs!

Anyhoo, the recipe fell onto my lap, via google reader, courtesy of Cherry Menlove (blogging wonder woman!). I simply added some walnuts to provide extra crunch and cracked on. The result? A perfect sweet treat great for elevenses, 3pm coffee or supper with a hot chocolate. Yeah, my thighs are expanding just thinking about it.

Back to the tote! Seen as I’m surrounded by apples at the moment, it only seemed right to feature a tote bag with an apple on it. Who knew? There is one!  Jane Foster designs and makes Scandinavian style screen printed products. Her designs are colourful and inspired by retro fabrics and make me feel very cheery.  I especially love the wee owl plush toys using Orla Kiely fabric. What’s not to love?

Happy Friday!

Those muffins look great! If you need any more apple-y ideas, I’ve made these a couple of times when I have acres of apples to deal with… they have the most amazing smell as they cook.

  2. That cake looks amazing! Totally gonna have to give that ago. Never made apple cake before, I usually make lemon cake or banana bread. Those owls are very cute, I’ve got a tea cosey with a similar design 🙂
    Happy Friday!

  3. I love it! I like apples. I have a silver apple shaped box thing you’d love. Also, the owls are ADORABLE.

  4. Oh I like that tote a lot! I’ve been looking for an apple-y print to frame… maybe I should frame the bag instead? (I’ve just realised I’ve bought one of her cats before for a friend’s baby!)

  5. Love all of this. The tote, the apple cake and the owls and everything.

I used to make a lovely cake with apple, pear and semolina (gave it crunch) it was lovely.

  6. Isn’t the tote fab?!
