Tote of the week: Make Believe tote via Felt Mountain Studios

I can’t blog about bags two days running can I? Yes? Oh go on then. Well, hopefully you’ll forgive me this once considering the above tote of the week is blooming DELIGHTFUL.

With June turning into a bit of a wash out I could do with a big balloon to ferret me across town. Take a closer look at the design:

A fish with a top hat, bunting, floral text and swoon-worthy waves – be still my beating heart. This tote has cheered my eyes right up today – I really am easy to please! You can purchase the tote for only £5, along with prints, notebooks and cards from Felt Mountain Studios via Etsy.

I hope you all have a super weekend. I’ll be tearing my hair out trying to work out how to self host this blog (almost worked it out!) then will spend the rest of the time indoors (yeah rain, that’s your fault) sewing, baking and watching Game of Thrones. I might dare to venture outside and watch Moonrise Kingdom too…Bill Murray, you are so worthit.

Tote of the week: Clouds Tote Bag via ChiChiDee on Etsy

Cloudy the skies have been of late. I think they have forgotten that it is Summer. Shall we quietly give them a nudge and all make just one wish today? I wish for a dry and sunny weekend. That would make me happy, it would please my friend too, who’s going to the chapel to get married this weekend and I think you’d like it too, right?

This perfectly pleasant Clouds Tote bag by ChChiDee via Etsy is £11 and reminds me of our funny little country, where all we do is chat about the weather. Ha!

Happy weekend folks!

Tote of the week: Pure cotton striped shopper

Audrey Hepburn once said “I believe in pink” and I quite agree.

I didn’t always believe in pink. So many pink gifts, courtesy of my Nan, were returned to be replaced by something black, plain and trouser-shaped. She got me all wrong as a youth but I got there in the end and am now very happy to don pinkness in all its glory – ah she’d be proud!

Today’s tote would add a certain type of elegance and a touch of pink to any outfit. In an attempt to make me feel elegant I count on these type of accessories! I love stripes.

The pure cotton shopper from Marks & Spencer is quite pricey at £23 but is more of an everyday Summer bag than a bag to carry your spuds and milk in. I like it very much. Pair it with some cropped trousers, a plain tee, your favourite brogues and you’re onto a winner.

Happy bank holiday weekend y’all!

Tote of the week: Deirdre the tea lady tote

20120525-085051.jpg

An ode to the blue rinse, the British cuppa and old ladies everywhere. You get it all with this Deirdre the tea lady tote via Emily the Pemily.

The tote is on sale for £7 which leaves change from a tenner to spend on Mr Kipling goodness to complete the ‘old lady’ look. Fill that tote with cakey finery!

And so, another week has passed. What a lovely one it has been too. I can’t tell you how excited I am knowing that the weekend will be warm and sunny (unless every weather person has got it wrong). We’re going to spend lots of time in the sun having picnics with friends, watch the Eurovision song contest and enjoy sewing, reading and relaxing with Mr.Sunshine.

Enjoy your weekend folks!

Tote of the week: The Beatles via Yoox

This tote makes my heart sing, my toes tap, my hips swish and my head sway. That’s always a good thing, right?

This beautiful number is currently on sale via Yoox for twelve of your English pounds. It is rather large so will hopefully fit the record you spotted in your local charity shop, a bottle of fine wine and many packets of pickled onion Space Raiders. OK, maybe that’s a small insight into the life of my tote bags…

All together now! In the town where I was born…
